The Rubus sanguineus is a deciduous shrub that grows up to 2 meters. about. More of the same family, not to be confused with Rubus fruticosus. The name Sanguineus comes from the juice of blood red color that is obtained by squeezing the fruit. The plant is thorny.
The fruits are red when unripe and then became almost black dark blue color. Maturation takes place in the middle of summer. They are about 1 cm in diameter.
The fruits are rich in Vitamin C.
It prefers sunny areas or partial shade.
