Description
Philodendron Hope Selloum (Philodendron bipinnatifidum), recently reclassified Thaumatophyllum bipinnatifidum, is a hardy plant native to tropical regions of South America. Under the correct conditions, their deeply lobed leaves can grow to nearly 150cm, but inside the home they can still lend an immensely tropical vibe to any room.
The Philodendron appreciates a humid warm environment and a moderate amount of water and light. Place it in a spot where it will receive medium or intense indirect light. This plant suffers in poorly lit spaces. It can tolerate very bright light, but may require additional care.
Philodendrons prefer slightly moist soil. As air-rooted epiphytes, they are sensitive to excessive watering, so make sure there is no standing water.
