Purple Raspberry Rubus Neglectus is a cross between two varieties of raspberries created in 1989 by the SCRI Scottish Institute of Research, amongst them, the variety of spinach black ‘Munger’ raspberry, and the variety of red raspberry ‘Glen Prosen’ without thorns.

Purple Raspberry is completely free of thorns.

The shape of the Purple Raspberry is roundish very similar to its Black Raspberry Parent.

The flavor is aromatic, sweet. Ideal for fresh, but also for jam and fruit salad.

Contains vitamins, mineral salts and antioxidants, so it is great for hydration and as a natural supplement during the summer. It is used for making jams, syrups, juices, pies and other decorations of sweets.

It prefers sunny areas, or half shadows.

Fruit in the summer.
