The Alocasia Macrorrhiza “Stingray” is a very distinctive and distinctive houseplant with upward and outward facing leaves showing its ribbed, leathery, emerald green surface. The leaf of this Alocasia is reminiscent of the marine animal Stringray, hence the name. You will also find that the stems have a beautiful coloration, very similar to that seen with the Alocasia Zebrina.
Alocasia Macrorrhiza “Stingray” is native to the tropics of Southeast Asia and loves humidity. If you don’t provide enough moisture, she may have trouble unfolding the leaves. The Alocasia Macrorrhiza “Stingray” grows rather quickly and can reach a height of 150 cm.
